Time for the ZOO!

On October 12, we got to go the zoo with Christy, Madeline, and Nicholas.  It was a perfect day for the zoo. "Not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket." We were there for about 4 hours and had a ton of fun looking at the animals.
Mr Peacock was right there to greet us

Carter sure loves to climb

Ironically we were looking at the monkeys

Their tails were really cool

It's an elephant...no not you, behind you :)

They are so big

Cool watching them grab the hay out of the hanging bag

Madeline on the rhino

Such cute kids

Rhino...yep, a rhino

Being carried by the elephant trunk

Either he was going to pounce or he was asleep, we weren't sure

Zoom in, crop, and add the caption "the end"

They are so tall

Giraffes

Sitting on the leopard, or jaguar, or some kind of jungle cat

"I'm this big!"

About the same as the adult female...watch out Dave and Christy!

I think he could eat them in one bite

Build a tower, Knock it down

Not too long ago we bought some stacking cups for Carter to play with.  Usually he just grabs one in each hand and bangs them together.  Every now and then we'll get on the ground with him and build towers for him to knock over.  It's really cute to watch him try so delicately to grab just the top cup and smile when he actually knocks them all over.  As we were playing one day he decided he would knock the cups over in a different fashion.  We kept calling him a tank (cause he's so chunky and short) and I guess he decided to act like one.

Family Pictures

At the end of September, the leaves began to change. So we thought this was a perfect time to try and get some family photos done.  We took Kathie as our photographer and took turns shooting pictures of each other.  We ended up with about 130 pictures and narrowed it down to 29 that we liked.  Thank goodness for digital cameras! We're so excited to have an actual family photo and hope you like them as much as we do.

Girl's Night Out

Every year we have a girl's night with all the Hobbs women.  This year we started our day by going to the mall and getting my ears pierced.  I sat there with Kathie, Jen, and Jamie staring at me. Talk about peer pressure.  We then went down town.  We were a little early for our play so we walked around main street and stopped and got some drinks at RiteAid.  Then, we got to see our play. We went to Capitol Theater and saw Mary Poppins. It was awesome.  I loved their versions of "Steppin Time" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."  After the play we went to eat dinner at Cafe Rio..Yum! Our evening was close to being over, but we still wanted to do something. So, we stopped at Michael's craft store and bought some baskets and flower to make some fall decorations with.  We ended up at my house to put them together and we crashed the boy's night in:) (more like rescued Matthew and Ryan from their sons)
I had to hold the "clair bear" for comfort :)

My wreath, didn't get it finished until later that night

What a load of baskets..Ha Ha I'm funny

Walker was just so cute eating his dinner

He pulled some great faces

We asked, "Where's Walker?" and he pointed to himself

Uh, What are you doing?

This is his face when you tell him to smile, so cute!
