Carter 5 Months

Five months already! My how time flies.  This month Carter is mastering eating solid foods.  His favorite game is to blow bubbles once you give him a mouthful.  While it is really cute and funny, I hate cleaning myself off every time he eats.  He's starting to roll over more and sit up without slouching forward.  When Carter wakes up now he just talks to himself (or the lion on the bumper pad) instead of screaming.  Much more pleasant for the ears.  He's finally learned how to use every toy on his exersaucer.  Totally makes play time more fun.

Meet Jade

Carter isn't the only new addition to the family.  Chad and Lori had another girl and we got to meet her for the first time when they blessed her in June.  She is definitely a Riches.  On our way to Payson we ran into some delays.  Apparently they closed the freeway in Provo.  We got diverted thru the city instead.  Good thing I spent some time living there and knew some shortcuts.  Still, we arrived at their church as the family was sitting down after blessing Jade and sacrament was starting.  Oops! We ended up spending most of the day there and got some cute pictures of the newest cousins. As you can tell in the pictures Jade is definitely taller than Carter, but he has some weight to him.
